Vision, Mission, and Values

Vision

With God’s guidance, every vulnerable child in Ecuador has a loving and stable family.

Mission

Believing that all children are created in God’s image, For His Children provides personalized care and love to children who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected, advocating for their best interest, and sharing the hope we have in Jesus, so they may grow safe and secure in a family.

Values

Love - John 13:34-35 - I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are My disciples if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.

● Share the love of Christ in and out of the Homes.

Commitment - Micah 6:8 - Mankind, he has told each of you what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

● Be an example of equity, justice and service in all of our actions.

Dignity - Matthew 7:12 - So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

● Treat everyone with respect and consideration.

Humility - Philippians 2:3 - Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

● Serve those who need our help with humility and always look out for their best interests.

Honesty - Ephesians 4:25 - Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

● Through the transforming work of Christ, use our talents and abilities wisely, always being truthful.

Statement of Faith

I. There is one true God, who is perfect and exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

II. The Bible is inerrant, sufficient, and authoritative. It serves as God’s primary means of communicating His will and purpose.

III. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is at the same time the true God. He came to the world in flesh, lived a perfect life without sin, and died on the cross for our sins. As a result of His sacrifice, He provided reconciliation to the Father. He was resurrected from the dead and is now with God the Father, and will come again to establish His kingdom on earth.

IV. Jesus Christ’s death on the cross has provided justification and salvation for all who accept Him, and those who believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become his disciples.

V. The Holy Spirit has been sent to us by God to teach, guide, encourage, and transform us. He empowers us to carry out God’s purpose for us in this world.

VI. We submit to Jesus Christ and His word as the authority in all areas of our lives. We rely on His power and guidance to lead us. With His power and guidance, we can accomplish His will.

VII. Prayer is essential for receiving God’s direction and counsel. It helps us understand His plan, carry out His will, and be effective in our service to Him.

VIII. We are called to love God and others, which is possible because God first loved us.

IX. God commands us and calls us to take care of the vulnerable, especially children.

X. As His followers, we are called to make known His Good News, explain the reason for our faith and our belief, and encourage others to know Him and experience His love as the only truth for salvation and eternal life.
