Cami and Luna’s Forever Family!

In 2020, during the uncertain days of the pandemic, two young sisters, Cami and Luna, arrived at For His Children. Cami was just 5 years old, and Luna was only 8 months old. They had already been through so much, but what they didn’t know was that their lives were about to change in the most beautiful way.*

From the moment they arrived, Cami and Luna were surrounded by love. Their tías (caregivers) became their family, providing them with safety, stability, and care. As the years passed, they grew, laughed, and thrived, but one thing was still missing—a forever family of their own.

After thorough investigations, the court determined that their biological family could not provide a safe home, so the judge declared them eligible for adoption. Then, in December, a life-changing moment arrived—Cami and Luna met their new parents.

Their first meeting was magical. Cami ran straight into her father’s arms, calling him “daddy,” instantly melting any nerves. Their days together were filled with laughter, park visits, and plenty of love. But the most special moment of all? Just a few days later, they celebrated their very first Christmas as a family.

For the first time, Cami and Luna woke up on Christmas morning surrounded by the warmth of a forever home. They shared holiday meals, and experienced the joy of the season with parents who love them deeply. It was a Christmas filled with laughter, love, and the promise of a beautiful future ahead.

Now, Cami and Luna are beginning a new chapter in Quito with their family—and their new dog, Rebecca! Their dad is a truck driver, their mom is a nurse, and together they are active in a soccer team and a folkloric dance group. The adventures ahead are sure to be filled with joy.
